Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 June 2026
1. Introduction
SuppSaver ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website located at thesuppsaver.com.au (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit the Service.
We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
2. Information We Collect
SuppSaver is a price comparison and search tool. We do not require account creation, registration, or login to use the Service. We do not collect names, email addresses, or other personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it (for example, by contacting us via email).
We may automatically collect the following non-personally identifiable information when you visit the Service:
- Technical data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type, screen resolution, and referring URL.
- Usage data: Pages visited, time spent on pages, navigation paths, and search queries entered on the Service.
- Outbound link click data: When you click an outbound link to a retailer or donation page, we log anonymised click data including a hashed identifier (not your raw IP address), a timestamp, and the destination name. This data is used solely for analytics and outbound-traffic reporting.
We do not collect sensitive information as defined under the Privacy Act 1988, including health information, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, or biometric data.
3. How We Use Your Information
The information we collect is used for the following purposes:
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To monitor and analyse usage patterns and trends to enhance user experience.
- To detect and prevent technical issues, abuse, or unauthorised access.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Service uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance functionality and collect usage data. The types of cookies we use include:
- Essential cookies: Required for the basic operation of the Service, such as maintaining session state and security.
- Analytics cookies: Used to collect anonymised data about how visitors interact with the Service, helping us understand usage patterns and improve performance.
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when cookies are being sent. Please note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features of the Service.
For more information on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, visit Google's Privacy & Terms page.
5. Outbound Links
The Service contains outbound links to third-party retailer websites and to a third-party donation platform (Ko-fi). When you follow one of these links, we log anonymised click data as described in Section 2: a hashed identifier (not your raw IP address), a timestamp, and the destination name. No personally identifiable information is stored.
SuppSaver participates in the Amazon Associates Program and may earn a commission on qualifying purchases made through outbound Amazon links (such as the “Check Amazon” buttons on product pages), at no additional cost to you. We do not display third-party advertising. Affiliate participation never influences our price-comparison rankings, which are determined solely by price per 100g.
Our price comparison rankings and product data are determined solely by mathematical calculation (price per 100g). Voluntary donations received via Ko-fi do not influence rankings, product visibility, or any aspect of how data is presented.
6. Third-Party Links
The Service contains links to third-party retailer websites that are not operated or controlled by SuppSaver. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or policies of these external websites. We strongly recommend that you review the privacy policy of every website you visit after leaving the Service. Your interactions with third-party websites are governed solely by that website's terms and privacy policy.
7. Data Retention
We retain the information we collect for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- Analytics data: Retained for up to 26 months, after which it is aggregated or deleted.
- Outbound click data: Anonymised click logs are retained for up to 12 months for analytics and reporting purposes.
- Contact correspondence: Emails sent to us voluntarily are retained for as long as necessary to address your enquiry and for our records.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the information collected through the Service from unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include the use of HTTPS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our servers, access controls restricting data access to authorised personnel, and regular monitoring of our systems for potential vulnerabilities. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information as promptly as possible. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18, please contact us immediately.
10. Your Rights Under Australian Privacy Law

If you access the Service from outside Australia, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in Australia, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to Australia.
