About SuppSaver

An independent supplement price comparison platform. We do the maths on serving sizes, bag weights, and concentrations so you can compare any two products on a genuinely equal footing — ranked purely on price per 100g.

The problem

The Problem We Solve

Anyone who's shopped for protein powder, creatine, or pre-workout knows the drill: you open fifteen tabs, try to mentally convert a 2kg bag against a 900g bag against a value pack, and somewhere around tab eleven you give up and just buy whatever's on sale at your usual store.

That's the problem SuppSaver was built to solve. Supplement pricing is deliberately confusing — manufacturers vary serving sizes, bag weights, and concentrations in ways that make apples-to-apples comparisons almost impossible at a glance. We do the maths so you don't have to.

Who we are

Who's Behind SuppSaver

SuppSaver is an independent project built and maintained by a small team of fitness enthusiasts and software engineers who were frustrated by the lack of transparent pricing data in the supplement market. We're not affiliated with any retailer, brand, or supplement company — our only interest is giving you accurate, unbiased comparison data.

We've been tracking supplement pricing since the platform launched, watching prices shift across retailers, sales cycles repeat, and new products enter the market. That accumulated data is what makes SuppSaver useful — not just today's prices, but the historical context to understand whether a "sale" is genuinely a good deal.

The SuppSaver Editorial Team
Supplement price analysts · Fitness enthusiasts and software engineers

We've been researching, training, and buying supplements since 2023. Our editorial content is written from direct experience with the supplement market — buying the same products, comparing the same retailers, and experiencing the same frustrations with opaque pricing that our users do. All supplement information is reviewed for factual accuracy against peer-reviewed literature and registered product data before publication.

Methodology

How the Comparison Works

Most price comparison tools show you the sticker price. That's nearly useless for supplements, where a 2kg bag at $89 might actually cost more per gram of protein than a 1kg bag at $52, depending on the protein concentration.

SuppSaver normalises every product to a price per 100g of product. This is the only metric that lets you compare across different bag sizes, serving sizes, and brands on a genuinely equal footing. We also show protein per 100g, calories per 100g, and — where available — macros, so you can factor in nutritional density alongside cost.

Our data pipeline tracks prices daily across supplement retailers, normalises the weights and serving sizes using our own parsing engine, and stores a running history of every price point. That history is what powers the price charts on product pages — so you can see whether a price has been steadily rising, falling, or sitting at the same "sale" price for six months. For the full breakdown, see how we compare.

Coverage

What We Track

SuppSaver currently covers three main supplement categories:

  • Protein powders — whey concentrate, whey isolate, casein, plant-based, and blends
  • Creatine — monohydrate, HCL, and other forms
  • Pre-workout — stimulant and stimulant-free formulas

We're actively expanding coverage to other categories. If there's a supplement category you'd like us to add, let us know via the contact page.

Support SuppSaver

SuppSaver is completely free to use. We don't charge for access, require account creation, or gate any results. We don’t run third-party ads. We are a participant in the Amazon Associates Program, so if you buy through one of our “Check Amazon” links we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you — but that never changes the rankings, which stay purely $/100g.

Servers, data infrastructure, and ongoing development do cost money. If the site has saved you a few dollars and you'd like to chip in, you can drop a one-off contribution on Ko-fi. Donations are entirely optional and don't unlock anything — the comparison data stays free for everyone.

Our rankings are determined by mathematics, not money. If a store with no relationship to us has the cheapest price, that's what we show. Donations don't influence rankings, visibility, or how products are presented.

We use cookies to measure site traffic via Google Analytics so we can improve price coverage and comparison accuracy. No ads, no third-party tracking. See our privacy policy.
